The 6th Cusp Sub-Lord — Disease Indicator
The sub-lord of the 6th cusp reveals whether a person is prone to illness during specific dasha periods. If the 6th cusp sub-lord is a significator of the 1st house (self) and the 6th house (disease), the native will experience health issues when the dasha of that sub-lord operates.
The Recovery Check
Equally important is determining recovery. Houses 1, 5, and 11 are the houses of cure and recovery:
1st House: Self and vitality returning.
5th House: The 12th from the 6th — dissolution of disease.
11th House: Fulfillment of the desire to recover; also the 6th from the 6th.
If the operating dasha lords signify 1, 5, 11 more strongly than 6, 8, 12, recovery is indicated.

Check the 6th cusp sub-lord's significations.
Build the significator table for houses 1, 6, 8, and 12.
Find dasha periods where the operating lords signify a combination of these houses.
