WHETHER MY MISSING SON IS ALIVE OR DEAD?

WHETHER MY MISSING SON IS ALIVE OR DEAD?

Question of Querent: Whether my missing son is alive or dead? (asked by father on behalf of son). The analysis should be made only according to the given Date, Time & Place of judgment. The details are as follows: 04-05-1956, 16:30 Hrs. (IST), Kolkata (22N32 88E21), India.

This is the question that came up in my question paper when I appeared in the "KP Hora Ratna" exam at KPSARI Chennai. Now I present to the readers how I explained it in my examination. Hopefully this analysis will be useful to the readers.

ANALYSIS BASED ON MOMENT HORARY (TIME CHART)

For a missing person, it is always necessary to change the Lagna connected to the missing person. $5^{\text{th}}$ house stands for children. As the question asked by father, hence and accordingly chart rotated to $5^{\text{th}}$ cusp treated as Lagna for son (children).

Consider the houses 3 (away from home), 9 (unknown place, long journey) or 12 (separation from family, new surroundings/environment) for the missing person. Counting from his or her Lagna and the houses 2 (family), 8 (return of missing person from unknown long journey) or 11 (reunion) (being $12^{\text{th}}$ to 3-9-12) are for returning home.

Consider the houses 1, 3 and 8 for longevity

Maraka Houses: The $12^{\text{th}}$ to any particular house denotes non-existence of the matter signified by the particular house. So, the houses 12 ($12^{\text{th}}$ to 1), 2 ($12^{\text{th}}$ to 1) and 7 ($12^{\text{th}}$ to 8) are known as Maraka (death dealing houses). The $2^{\text{nd}}$ and $7^{\text{th}}$ house are Maraka (death inflicting houses) for all Lagna because they are in $12^{\text{th}}$ of houses 3 and 8 denoting the extent of longevity or life to be lived in this world to enjoy the fruits of past karma good as well as bad. Houses 2 and 7 also opposed $8^{\text{th}}$ and lagna ruling longevity.

Badhaka House: The house 11 is badhaka (harmful to life) for those born in Movable Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) as their Ascendant; the $9^{\text{th}}$ for those born in Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) and the $7^{\text{th}}$ for those born in Common Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces).

Death: The Badhaka house is more harmful than the Maraka houses. So for death consideration first the Badhaka house and then the Maraka houses. Saturn is the chief governor of longevity.

  • Harmonious Houses : 1, 3, 8
  • Detrimental Houses : 2, 7, 12 & Badhaka
  • Life Supporting Houses : 1, 3, 5, 9 (Only for Movable & Common Lagna), 10 (Only for Movable Lagna), 11 (Only for Fixed & Common Lagna).

$4^{\text{th}}$ house considered for "Chira-Sukh-Nindra" bhava and thus indicate Graveyard and end of everything. $8^{\text{th}}$ house is called "Mrityusanyak" bhava and thus considered for death dealings or place of death. $12^{\text{th}}$ house to lagna is "Vyaya-Stahana" (negation) to life. Thus, $12^{\text{th}}$ house if called *"Moksha"* bhava of "house of liberation" It indicates the end of life from the present world. Saturn is called

"Yama" or "Ayushkarka" and thus considered as the chief governor of longevity.

Hints:

According to "Horary Astrology" a fine treatise on the subject of Prashna written by Guruji KSK, the Ascendant (Lagna) cuspal sublord should not be posted in the constellation of maraka or badhaka planet, if long life were to be assured. The lagna could fall in any sign but the sublord of the lagna is the deciding factor in one's longevity. Note the sublord of the ascendant. If he is deposited in the constellation of the significators (in the star of occupant or owner) of Badhaka and Maraka houses, the life is short (within $33\frac{1}{2}$ years) after the time of judgment. If will not be for many years. If sublord of the ascendant were to be in the constellation of the significators of $6^{\text{th}}$ house, the native will suffer from disease but will not succumb to it; but if the sublord of the ascendant is deposited in the constellation of the significators of $8^{\text{th}}$ house, the native will meet accident. If the sublord of the ascendant in the horary chart is deposited in the constellation of the significators of $12^{\text{th}}$ house, the native will be in bed and may be admitted in hospital. Death is indicated only by the significators of the marakasthana and badhakasthana. According to the strength of the lord of the constellation in which the sublord of the ascendant is deposited, one is to fix the Dasha and the sub-periods. Calculate from the horoscope erected for the number (horary) and work out, after how many years and months, the conjoined period of the significators will operate. And predict the life of native/querent accordingly. Never omit to confirm by taking the ruling planets as the moment of judgment.

It is always necessary to check the significance of $3^{\text{rd}}$ CSL and $8^{\text{th}}$ CSL too to determine the longevity of middle life or long life. Badhaka Bhava is more dangerous than Maraka Bhava. So, importance should be given to Badhaka Bhava in preference. If the Cuspal Joint-Rulers (Signlord-Starlord-Sublord) of the Ascendant (Lagna) or $8^{\text{th}}$ house be the significators of Badhaka and Maraka houses, their joint period is very critical for life.

WHETHER MISSING PERSON IS ALIVE OR DEAD?

  • If the Cuspal Sublord (CSL) of Ascendant (Lagna) be posited in the constellation of the significators (in the star of occupant or owner) signifies $1^{\text{st}}$ house; and
  • If the Cuspal Sublord (CSL) of Ascendant (Lagna) be posited in the constellation of the significators (in the star of occupant or owner) that must not signify maraka and badhaka house(s).

MOON REVEALS THE NATURE OF QUERY

In the Time Chart (without rotation of chart), the Moon (Aquarius 05-41-17) is the star of Mars and sub of Self (Moon). Planet & Sublord Moon is the occupant of 5 (Son or Children), owner of 10. Starlord Mars is the occupant of 4, owner of 3 (away from home), 7 and 8 (Danger, accident). Thus, Moon signifies and in connection with relevant house(s), hence the query is genuine.

CUSPAL ANALYSIS: (Chart rotated to $5^{\text{th}}$ cusp treated as Lagna for Son (Children)

Lagna Cusp (Aquarius 02-03-31): The sublord of Lagna cusp Ketu is in the star of the Moon and sub of Saturn.

(Note: being a Fixed Sign Lagna, $9^{\text{th}}$ cusp will be treated as Badhaka house)

Planet Ketu is the occupant of 4. Ketu has stellar strength i.e. untenanted (there is no planet in stars of Ketu) and CSL of 1-3. Ketu is conjoined to Mercury and thus acts as an agent of Mercury. Mercury is the occupant of 4, owner of 8.

Starlord Moon is the occupant of 1, owner of 6. Moon is the star of Mars who is the occupant of 12, owner of 3-4-11.

From the above analysis, it is clear that

  •  Ascendant (Lagna) CSL deposited in constellation (i.e. Moon) of significators (in the star of occupant or owner) does not signifies maraka and badhaka houses; and
  • Ascendant (Lagna) CSL deposited in constellation of Moon that is the significators (in the star of occupant or owner) of 1; and
  •  Ascendant (Lagna) CSL Ketu does not signify (in the star of occupant or owner) maraka and badhaka houses, but signifies the longevity houses 1-3-8.

Hence, in my opinion, as per KP rules, the missing son is alive. Further to this, if we see that Lagna CSL Ketu posited in constellation of Moon that signifies (in the star of occupant or owner) 6 and 12, indicates that there may be disease and hospitalization due to an accident (as signification of $8^{\text{th}}$ is present by Lagna CSL Ketu and $8^{\text{th}}$ CSL Jupiter, aspected by Mars, signifies 8).

Actual fact: Predictions come correct. Later Querent informed that his son was hospitalized in an unconscious state due to an accident. However, several hours later, when he regained consciousness, he was found.
