5. Suicide

How do we judge a death related to suicide?

Look at the sub lord of the 8th cusp. If this sub lord is posited in the star of the 2nd or 7th house (maraka houses) or posited in the badhaka house (11th house for Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn [cardinal signs], 9th house for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius [fixed signs], and 7th house for Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces [mutable signs]), and the 8th house and connected to Mars, death is by suicide.

6. Be Drowned

If the sub lord of the Lagna or 8th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of the 4th (end of life), 8th (death) and 12th (calamity-salvation) along with Maraka and badhaka houses. Even the sub lord of the Lagna or 8th cusp falls into the watery sign and the owners of these watery signs are connected with the Lagna sub lord, its star lord and sub lord. All of these are denoted danger by water to be drowned.

7. Death

1. The Badhaka houses are more harmful than the Maraka houses. So for death consider first the Badhaka house and then Maraka houses.
2. Look at the sub lord of the Ascendant. If this sub lord is posited in the star of a planet who is in the 1st, 5th, 9th or 10th, or owns any of these houses, this tells us that the chart owner has a long life.
   
3. To make this a bit clearer, if the sub lord of the Ascendant is not in the constellation of either the dispositor of – or lords of – the Maraka Sthanas (2nd or 7th) or Badhakas (11th house for Movable signs rising, 9th house for Fixed signs rising, and 7th house for Dual signs rising), a long life is indicated.
4. Harmonious indicators for longevity are judged by houses 1, 3, and 8, while houses 2, 7, and 12 – along with the badhaka house, are detrimental for longevity.
5. If the cuspal sub lord of the Ascendant is the significator of the badhaka and maraka houses, the life is short.
6. If the cuspal joint rulers (the sign lord, the star lord, and the sub lord) of the Ascendant or the 8th house cusp are the significators of the badhaka and maraka houses, their joint period is very critical for life.
7. If the sub lord of the Ascending degree is the owner of:-

a. the houses 6, 8 Or 12 a short life (upto 33½ years) is indicated;

b. The houses 1, 5 or 9 a long life (beyond 66½ years);

c. The houses 6, 8 or 12 and 1, 5 or 9 a middle life (upto 66 1⁄2 years is denoted).

Besides, if this sub lord is the significator (i.e. in the star or the occupant or owner) of the badhaka and the maraka houses, it is not a good sign for long life. Likewise, consider the sub lord of the 3rd and the 8th cusp also.

Saturn is the chief governor of longevity.

1. When Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu simultaneously transit in the stars and subs of the badhaka and maraka significators in the birth chart – during a particular year in question – the native is likely to suffer from serious illness.
2. When Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu simultaneously transit in the stars and subs of the badhaka and maraka significators of the spouse in the birth chart – during a particular year in question – the native’s spouse is likely to suffer from serious illness.
3. The sub lord of the lagna rising is known to have a mysterious link with death. While judging death, it is invariably found that the sub lord of the lagna rising – whether it be for a horoscope cast for the birth time or for a prashna (within 249), it has an intimate relation with the time of death – for example – its period, sub period, or sub sub period must be connected with the time of death.

8. Marriage/Denial of Marriage/Love Affairs

Houses 2, 7, and 11 are for Marriage; while 1, 6, and 10 are for Denial of Marriage.

a. Consider houses 2, 5 or 7 and 11 for marriage (2nd addition to family members; 5th – love, romance, affection-11th from 7th, 7th- wife or husband, legal tie-up/bondage. It is the main house for marriage; 11th respectively).

b. Consider the houses 1, 6 and 10 for separation or divorce (being 12th from 2, 7 and 11 respectively). These houses denote absence of married life.

Venus is the chief governor of marriage.

c. If the sub lord is the significator of the 2nd, 7th, or 11th, it is said to be harmonious to, and connected with, the matters of the 2nd, 7th, and 11th.

d. If the sub lord of the 7th cusp is the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of the 1st, 6th or 10th, or connected with the 1st, 6th, 10th, Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu; barren or in sterile signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, or Capricorn), it denies marriage.

e. If the sub lord of the 5th cusp (love affairs) is the significator of or connected with the 2nd or 11th, it shows a love affair, and if it is connected with Rahu or Ketu, the love affair is with a person belonging to a different caste, creed, or province.

f. If the sublord of the 7th (marriage) is the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of the 5th or 11th, or connected with the 5th or 11th, it denotes marriage with the person in the love affair, and if it is connected with Rahu or Ketu, it denotes marriage with the person who belongs to a different caste, creed, or province.

g. If Venus is connected with Rahu or Ketu, it denotes marriage with the person belonging to a different caste, creed, or province.

h. If the sub lord of the 7th cusp is the significator or connected to the 2nd, 7th, or 11th, the native marries during the joint periods (dashas) of the significators of the 2nd (additions to the family), the 7th (wife or husband; legal tie) and 11th (permanent tie of friendship).

9. Mutual Divorce

As per KP theory we have to judge this type of question from the 11th cusp because 11th cusp stands for the success of such a type of event. Therefore, the 11th cusp sub lord should not be retrograde and not deposited in the constellation of a retrograde planet, even 11th cuspal sub lord should be either MOON, or JUPITER or VENUS.

If 11th CSL signifies 3 (negotiation), 6 (permanent detachment), 9 (3rd from 7th/partner’s negotiation), 11 (success of the querrent) and connected to fruitful sign or airy sign then the partner will be mutually agreed for divorce during the joint period of the significator of 3, 6, 9 & 11.

If the 2nd house comes into the picture then it will indicate that the partner will be mutually agreed after getting some lump sum amount of money. If 5, 8, & 12 houses are coming then it will indicate that the partner would not be mutually agreed for divorce.

10. Second Marriage

Second marriage or dual marriage is indicated if the following two conditions are simultaneously satisfied:

i. The sub lord of 7th cusp is posited in a dual natured rasi (viz. Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) or in the constellation of a planet posited in or owned by a dual natured rasi or if the sub lord of the 7th cusp is Mercury or in the constellation of a planet whose lord is Mercury; and

ii. If the sub lord of 9th cusp is also a significator of either the houses 2 (addition of family member), 9 (3rd from 7th, 3rd house indicate younger sister of the 1st partner) or 11 (success/fulfilment of the desire), then during the joint period of 2, 9 and 11 there is a possibility of second marriage.

This idea was first given by a Bengal astrologer, named Mr. Parimal Purakayastha in his book of 1957 titled “Indian Astrology Sex Marriage and Children”, published from Calcutta. It is in this book where he clearly writes in his Preface “But I have found third house of the seventh house more responding in the matters relating to the second partner and third house of ninth house in the matters relating to the third partner”.

11. Inter-cast marriage

If 7th CSL signifies 2 or 7 or 11 and is connected to Rahu (another race is another born) and Saturn (Low born) then there is a strong possibilities of Inter-cast marriages.

12. Inter-cast spouse

7th CSL is Sun or deposited in the constellation of a planet whose lord is Sun then partner may be from elite/zamindar family. If Moon & Mercury then may be from merchant class family, if Moon with Mercury then may be from Bengali community. If Jupiter then from Brahmin or noble family, if Venus then from high society like Ambani, If Rahu then from Muslim community, if Mars+Rahu then from Sikhism, if Saturn the low born family and if Ketu then it will be from Christian community.

13. To keep a Keep

2nd marriage to be predicted, if the 2nd cusp sub lord is well connected to 7th will have 2nd marriage. If connected only to the 11th house, one will keep a keep for enjoyment. The 7th house indicates the marriage in a legal way. The 11th house indicates one’s attachment to another woman or man by friendship, and not permanent ties.

14. Pregnancy

Astrology delivers a distinct picture than even in medical tests in the early stages of conception. Frog tests may fail, but Astrology will not. If one is anxious to know whether one is pregnant or not; then

1. If the cuspal sub lord of the 5th:

Occupies the fruitful sign of Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, and  

Is the significator of the 2nd, 5th, or 11th, 

2.Then the woman under concern is pregnant.If the cuspal sub lord of the 5th: 

a. Occupies the barren sign of Aries, Gemini, Leo, or Virgo, and 

b. is in the star of the planet in the barren sign 

Then the woman under concern is not pregnant.

15. Abortion

When the 5th sub-lord is connected to KETU (abortive planet), and the barren signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo and Virgo) then there is a possibility of abortion.

If 5th cusp sublord or starlord of 5th cusp sublord posited on 8th then there is a possibility of miscarriage. If 5th cusp sublord is Ketu or 5th cusp sublord is in the star of Ketu and posited in 8th – miscarriage must. If 5th cusp sublord is Sat or 5th cusp sublord is in the star of Sat and posited in 8th – Dead child or Miscarriage may happen.

16. Children

a. Consider the houses 2, 5 and 11 for childbirth (2nd increase in the number of the members of the family due to birth of a child; 5th first conception or pregnancy, progeny or child; 11th is the 5th from the 7th). The 5th for females and 11th for males are important.

b. Consider the houses 1, 4 and 10 for absence of children or for separation from the children (being 12th from 2, 5 and 11 respectively.

Sun and Jupiter are the natural significator of childbirth. In females Moon is fertility and Mars is menstruation. In males Venus is Semen/fertility and Sun is Sperm.

      If the sub lord of the 5th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 2, 5 or 11 child birth is promised during the joint period of the significator of 2, 5 and 11. In case of females the 5th house and in case of male the 11th house should be examined first.

a) Barren Signs

1. Aries, Gemini, Leo, and Virgo are called the barren or sterile signs.
2. Barren signs on the cusps of the 5th and 11th houses (11th being 5th to the partner) and the lords of these not posited in fruitful signs, the Moon not in a fruitful sign, the lagna not in a fruitful sign, the lord of the lagna not posited in a fruitful sign, and no fruitful planet in the 5th or 11th house, are indications of no children.

b) Fruitful Signs

1. Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are all fruitful in nature: all watery signs are fruitful.
2. Taurus, Libra, Capricorn and Sagittarius are said to be semi-fruitful.
3. Fruitful signs on the cusps of the 5th and 7th houses and their lords posited in fruitful signs, are indications of an early union.
4. Barren signs on the cusps of the 5th and 1st houses indicate that the native is not likely to marry in time (provided other testimonies also point to the same view).
5. Fruitful signs on the cusps of the 11th and 5th houses, and the lords of the 5th and 11th posited in fruitful signs, promise children.
6. Barren signs on the cusps of the 1st, 5th, and 11th, or the lords of these posited in barren signs, lessen the chances of children.
