74. Rumour

In a horary chart, if the sub lord of the 3rd cusp is in the star of Saturn, it falls. If it is a Mars star, it is mischievous. If it is Jupiter, the rumour is true. These planets are to weigh in terms of those occupied by them such as “Thamo-Rajo-Sathva Guna” of the sign lord and the sub lord’s guna. It is also necessary to find the Sub lord of the 3rd cusp sub lord. If he is benefic, the rumor is true. If it is a malefic, the rumour is a false one.

I would like to advise the students of Krishnamurti Paddhati to look into the scholarly article of Lt. Pt. K.R. In the September 1980 issue of ‘Astrology and Athrishta’ on page 18, under analysis, he had given a fine interpretation of planets, regarding rumour or information when connected to 3rd cusp, in terms of Tamo Guna, Rajo Guna and Satwa Guna’s.

75. Boldness to undertake a job

If the sub lord of 3rd cusp is the significator of 2nd, or 10th or 11th, one will surely undertake and come out successful.

If the 3rd cusp sub lord is Mars, one will never be content with the results. If it is Jupiter it indicates legitimate and reasonable desires. If it is Saturn, he will not be content at all. If it is Rahu, I will have great ambitions. If the sub lord is connected to the 11th and 3rd, the negotiations will be fulfilled.

If it is Sun, Mars or Venus, one gets courage and confidence to complete any competitive examination. The houses 4th, 9th and 11th should be considered for timing the event and departmental examinations. For interviews include also 6th and 10th houses significators.

76. Journalism

If the 3rd cusp sub lord signifies the 11th and is also connected to Mercury & Jupiter, one has journalistic abilities.

77. Receipt of parcel/letter

If the 3rd cusp sub lord signifies the 3 and 11 indicate receipt of parcel/letter. For this the 3 and 11 houses are to be judged along with the progress of Moon on a day, for timing the event. It is good to erect a horary chart.

78. Appeal Successful or not?

If the sublord of the 3rd cusp is deposited in the constellation of the planet which is the significator of 6 and 11 then one will be successful in Appeal.

But if the sub lord of the 3rd cusp is deposited in the constellation of a planet who is the significator of the houses 5 and 12, one cannot have success in Appeal.

79. Is the exchange profitable or not?

If the sub lord of 6th cusp is deposited in the constellation of a planet which is the significator of 2, 6 or 11, then during the joint period of the significator of 2, 6 or 11 you must gain. But if it is the significator of 5, 8 or 12, then during the joint period of the significator of 5, 8 or 12, by exchanging you must lose, the other person must gain.

80. Construction of house or purchase a landed property

The sub lord of the 4th cusp, which indicates one’s residential area. So, judge whether the sub lord of the 4th cusp is either retrograde or deposited in the constellation whose lord is retrograde. If either is retrograde then one will not be able to construct a house. If the sub lord of the 4th cusp and the lord of the constellation in which it is deposited are in direct motion and if the sub lord is also a significator of either 4th or 11th or 12th house, and if Mars or Saturn is well connected with the 4th house, then the native will be able to construct a house or purchase of landed property during the joint period of the significator of 4, 11 and 12.

81. House or property to be sold

The 4th house represents immoveable property and Mercury and Mars are the karaka planet for land and buildings, the purchaser is indicated by the 7th house of your chart. If the purchaser is destined to acquire a property, is denoted by the 4th from the purchaser, that is your 10th house. Therefore, to sell one's landed property is to judge from one’s own 10th cusp (Bhava). Judge whether the sub lord of 10th cusp is either retrograde or deposited in the constellation whose lord is retrograde. If the sub lord is retrograde then not to be worried. If the lord of the constellation in which the sub lord is deposited is retrograde, then you will not be able to sell the property.

If they are in direct motion and if the cuspal sub lord of 10th be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 3 or 10 then you can sell off your house property during the joint period of the significator of 3, 5 and 10.

82. Getting possession

Anyone with whom you transact is shown by the 7th house. A house under possession of purchaser/buyer is signified by 9th (negation of the 4th house from 7th, i.e. negation of the 10th house which is 9th). Possession of the property happens when the authority of the property is obtained. This seems to be the last phase of buying a property.

If 4th (property) cusp sub lord be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 2 (possession of movable or immovable property), 9 and 11 houses with influence of Mars (building), then possession is promised during the joint period of the significator of 2, 9 and 11.

83. Purchase of a Vehicle/Car

Consider the 4th house and Venus for vehicles. We will discuss a couple of rules here for possessing a vehicle or purchase of a car.

i. If the sub lord of the 4th cusp is Venus be the significator of the 4th house; or if the sub lord is deposited in the constellation of the significator of the 4th house which has connections in any manner with Venus, one will have either a vehicle or buy some furniture. If in any case Venus is not the significator of the 4th house then it will not indicate the possession of vehicle or furniture.

If the sublord or the lord of the constellation in which the sublord is deposited being the significator of the 4th house and should also be connected with Venus and is deposited in a movable sign then it shows a vehicle. But if it is a common sign it may be a vehicle or cradle like furniture which can move to-and-fro. But if it is in a fixed sign then it indicates furniture only.

ii. If 4th cusp sub lord be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 4 (vehicle), 9 (luck), 10 (status), 11 (fulfilment of one’s desire) and connected with Venus (karaka for vehicle/wealth), Moon (petrol & diesel), then during the joint period of the significator of 2 (movable assets), 4 and 11 one will have a vehicle.

If the significator of the 4th cusp indicating purchase of a vehicle and if it were to be in the sub, the lord of which is posited in any of the bestial (4 legged) sign, or its constellation lord, such as Aries, Taurus, Leo, second half of Sagittarius or Capricorn, then it is four wheeled vehicles.

If the significator of the 4th house promising purchase of a vehicle is connected with Venus and Moon (Petrol or diesel) and Mars (machinery), it indicates vehicle. Venus-Moon-Mars conjointly indicates motor car.

84. Disposal of a Vehicle/Car

Sale of a car by one means its purchase and possession by another. The 7th house shows the purchaser. Houses 4, 9, 10 and 11 counted from the 7th house are 10, 3, 4 and 5. Therefore the houses to be judged for disposal of vehicles are 3, 4, 5 and 10.

If the cuspal sub lord of 10th be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 3, 5 and 10 then you can sell off your Vehicle/Car (movable assets) during the joint period of the significator of 3, 5 and 10.

85. Courage to compete the examination

Whether one has the courage to complete the examination is to be judged from the 3rd (courage) house. If the sub lord of the 3rd cusp is Moon, one tries to adjust himself in the present circumstances and does not take a bold decision. If it is Saturn one will be very cautious and lack confidence. If Mercury, the native will be in a dilemma. However, planets Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Venus as the sub-lord of 3rd cusp, give courage and confidence to compete.

86. Appear for examination

Whether one will be able to appear in the examination or not is to be seen from the Horary Ascendant. One may have courage to compete but may not be able to appear for the examination because of some unavoidable circumstances or obstacles like illness, communal riot, strike etc. at the time of competitive examination. If the Horary Lagna is afflicted due to the disposition of natural malefics or lord of 6 or 8 or 12, the native will not be able to make an attempt. However, if the Lagna is free from affliction, the native will be able to appear in the examination positively.

87. Success in competitive examination

Success in competitive examination is promised if the following two conditions are simultaneously satisfied:

i. Whether one will be successful in the examination or not to be judged from the planets whose conjoined period he is running at the time of examination. At that time if the Dasa, Bhukti and Antara lords governing planets are significator of houses 4, 9 and 11, the native will come out successful, if not, then the native will be unsuccessful; and

ii. If the sub lord of 4th cusp or its star lord are in direct motion and be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 4 (examination), 9 (higher studies) and 11 (success in attempts), the success is competitive examination is promised during the joint period of the significator of 4, 9 and 11 houses.

88. Admission in an educational institution

The 4th house governs the educational institution and since his desire is to get admission, the 11th house shows realisation of one’s ambition. Therefore, if the sub lord of the 4th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) 4 and 11 and further lord of the constellation in direct motion and should have any connection with Mercury (karaka for education) and Jupiter (educational institution) then admission in an educational institution is promised during the joint period of the significator of 4, 11.

89. Scholarship

If the cuspal sub lord the 6th or 11th be the significator (in the star of occupant or owner) of 2 (money), 6 (scholarship/success in competition) or 11 (gain) and connected with house 4 (studies) along with the planets like Mercury (intellect) and Jupiter (wisdom/finance), one will gets scholarship for studies during the joint period of the significator of 2, 6 and 11.

90. Treasure in house

In Horary astrology, which will give a correct picture when the question relates to Treasure. If the sub lord of 4th cusp be the significator (in the star of occupant of owner) of 2 or 11 or 6 and further the lord of the constellation in direct motion and should have any connection with Saturn and Venus respectively, then one will may have the treasure in his/her house.

91. Haunted house

If the sub lord of the 4th cusp be the significator (in the star of occupant or owner) of 3 (Forsaken domicile/contrary to natural domestic life), 8 (hidden worries/unwanted happenings/danger to life) or 12 (fear/evil things) and connected the planets such as Saturn, Rahu or Mars then, the house becomes a haunted due to unnatural happenings.

92. For girl friend

According to Rex Bills’ “The Rulership Book” pages 15 & 56, boy friends/girl friends: 7th house (same in U. Taneja’s Dictionary of Significators pages 21 & 81).

As per KP Reader II: Fundamental Principles of Astrology, page 220 last para., “In fact, the lover is more accurately ascertained from the 11th house rather than from the 7th. This is so, as the 11th house stands for lasting friendship and intimacy that may end in marriage.”

93. Love affairs materialise or not?

If the 5th cusp sub lord signifies 2 or 5 or 11, one will fall in love.

If the sub lord of the 5th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 5 (love), 7 (marriage/legal bondage) and 11 (success) then materialisation of the love affairs is promised. But If the sub lord of the 5th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 6 or 12, then the love affairs will never materialise.

If 5th cusp sub lord signifies 6, then his/her lover breaks relation, and if it signifies 12, native him/her self-breaks relation.

94. Will marriage take place between A & B?

For such a query go for a horary chart. Ask them to give numbers between 1 and 249. If Moon is posited at the time query in any of the houses 3rd or 5th or 7th or 10th or 11th from the Horary Lagna for the number given, and if Moon receives beneficial aspect such as 5th or 9th from Jupiter with beneficial significations in the chart, marriage will certainly take place between A & B. If Saturn involve in the above, there will be some delay and no denial.

If the 7th cusp in a chart is Venus or Jupiter and if they signify 2nd and 11th, he has a very happy married life. If the 7th cusp sub is Sun, no pleasure; gives irritation. On the Moon, it is very pleasant. If it is, Mars creates silly quarrel and displeasure. If Mercury one enjoys many times. If Jupiter is very pleasant. If Venus comes as 7th cusp, the sub lord gives extreme pleasure during intercourse. If it is Saturn one feels dissatisfaction with his wife during intercourse. If Rahu or Ketu comes it has to give the results according to the sign lord they occupy in terms of the natives chart.

95. Where does the bride or groom come from?

If the 7th cusp sub lord is in the star of a planet signifying 4th and 10th the partner will be the one living in the same house, or same street. If it signifies the 3rd house the partner may be a cousin or a neighbor. If it signifies the Lagna, it indicates the same village or the town. If it signifies the 11th it may be from a friend’s family. If it signifies the 2nd and 9th, it will be a love marriage or a foreigner.

96. Sickly child-will it pick up Health?

5th cusp indicating child. If the sub lord of the 5th cup is deposited in the constellation of the planet, whose lord is the significator of the houses 3 and 5, the child will pick up. But if the sub lord of the 5th cusp is deposited in the constellation of the planet, whose lord is the significator of 10 or 12 houses, and also connected in any manner with Saturn, then the child cannot recover health at all, ‘it will be ever sickly’.

97. Success in Partnership in Business

Success in partnership busines comes only when both the partners succeed financially. Consider the 7th house for partnership. So, if the sub lord of the 7th cusp (in the star of the occupant or owner) be the significator of 2 (wealth) and 11 (gain) as well as 8 (partner’s wealth) and 5 (partner’s gain) along with the influence of fruitful sign, then success in partnership business is assured.

Alternatively, if connected with 6 and 12, the partnership business will be terribly losing, even there will be a break in partnership.

98. Prosper as an Actor or Actress

According to KP the 5th house and Venus indicate cinema, theatre, drama etc. One who wants to become an actor or actress in film, the 5th cusp sub lord must be deposited in the constellation of a planet who is the significator of houses 5, 6, 10 and connected with the planet Venus, Mercury, Mars and Rahu one can be popular as an Actor. It is also the significator of 11, one will be prosperous. If Mars is one of the planets signifying these houses, one can be a leader among them. There is no inferiority complex or stage fear.

99. Winning in Lottery prize

Lottery brings casual income which is a gain without pain. 3rd house indicates lottery, to know whether one will win at all, judge the 11th cusp alternatively and find out whether the sub lord of 3rd or 11th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 2 (monetary gain/improvement of bank position), 6th (loss to opponent) and 11 (gain/fulfilment of desire) without any connection with 8, 12 or 5, and connected with Venus and Rahu in any manner only then during the joint period of the significator of 2, 6 and 11 one can win a lottery prize.

100. Getting a Bank Loan

Loan is an income to the person; his bank position improves by borrowing. The 6th house which indicates debts or borrowing. Getting a Bank Loan is only be possible if the following tow conditions are simultaneously fulfilled:

i. Find out whether the sub lord of the 6th cusp is either retrograde or deposited in the constellation whose lord is retrograde. If either is retrograde, one cannot borrow. If it is in direct motion, then one will be able to get a loan; and

ii. If the sub lord of the 6th cusp be the significator (in the star or the occupant of owner) of 2 (monetary gain/improvement of bank position), 6th (expenses to lender) and 11 (gain/fulfilment of desire) the during the joint period of the significator of 2, 6 and 11 one can receipt a loan.

101. Repayment of Loan

Whether repays loan, investment or free from debts, consider 12th bhava. 12th house indicates repayment, 8th house indicates repayment of money to the lender (2nd house to the 7th house), 5th house indicates benefits to the opposite party by lending (11th house to the 7th house).

Therefore, if the cuspal sub lord of 12th be the significator (in the star of the occupant of owner) Of 5, 8 Or 12 and both the sub lord and its star lord are in direct motion, then repayment of loan is promised during the joint period of the significator of 5, 8 or 12. Houses 5, 8, 12 are 2, 6, 11 from 7 (opponent) indicating gain to opponent.

102. Overdraft facility

If the sub lord of the 6th (overdraft) cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 2 (finance and money matters), 6 (borrowing/overdraft) and 11 (financial gain/success in attempt) and connected with the Mars, Moon or Jupiter one will have the facility to get over draft in a bank.

103. When will the tenant vacate?

The 6th house indicates the tenant for all. The 4th and 11th there from the occupation of a tenant in your house. If he is to vacate, the 3rd from the 6th house significators period should operate. This means your 8th house (3rd from the 6th) should also be connected to the 6th house. Hence, if the sub lord of 6th cusp be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 5 (loss of tenancy), 8 (vacate the rented property) and 12 (separation/life in a new environment) then, during the joint periods of the significator to 6, 8 and 12 the tenant will vacate your property.

104. Thief

The 7th house indicates the thief. If the sub lord of the 7th cusp is Mercury, he is a young person. Venus, youthful and a female. If Mars indicates full of age. Jupiter tells middle-aged people. The Sun shows a young person and if it is Saturn, it says an elderly person. The sex of the thief is to be determined through the sex of the planet that figured as the sub lord of the 7th cusp.

105. Recovery of lost/stolen article

Whether the article will be recovered or not, depends on the sub lord of the 11th cusp. The 2nd house indicates movable articles which are used to be lost or stolen, 6th house indicate loss to the thief (12 to 7th which is thief) and 11th (12 to 12th which is lost) house indicate regaining.

If the cuspal sub lord of 2 or 11 be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) of 2, 6 and 11 and connected with fruitful sign, then lost or stolen articles will be recovered during the joint period of the significator of 2, 6 and 11.

If the same sub lord should be the significator or 5, 8 and 12 and connected with the barren sign, then the lost or stolen article will never be recovered.

106. Should entangled money be recovered or not?

Judge 6th determines whether one gets back one’s entangled money and finds out whether the sub lord of the 6th is either retrograde or deposited in a constellation whose lord is retrograde. If either is retrograde one cannot recover which had been lent or given. If both the sub lord and lord of the constellation in which the sub is situated, is in direct motion, then one will recover the money.

If the sub lord of 6th or 11th be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) 2 or 6 and 11 and connected with fruitful signs along with Jupiter and Venus, entangled money will be recovered during the joint period of the significator of 2, 6 and 11.

Alternatively, If the sub lord of 6th or 11th be the significator (in the star of the occupant or owner) 5 (opponent gain) 8 (opponent money/disappointment) and 12 (loss to the native) and connected with earthy sign along with Saturn, Rahu and Ketu there is lesser chance to recover the money which was entangled.

However, Saturn indicates there will be delay and obstacles to recover, it should be part recovered and part lost or bad debts. Mercury indicates recovery in installments, Mars indicates tension and violence to get back the money. Sun and Moon indicates through the help of government officials or by litigation one will recover.
