RAHU IN THE 3RD HOUSE

This is one of the favourable positions of Rahu in so far as the individual is concerned. Normally success is achieved in whatever is handled by the individual; credit is earned for own work as well as for direct or indirect piracy of work of others. These individuals are often efficient advisers in war strategy, boundary disputes, water sharing disputes between two countries or two states or two counties, disputes between or among heirs or claimants of inheritance and heirloom. These individuals put up a bigger show of their work/ effort/ labour than what it is actually worth.  

These individuals are not very sincere and helpful towards their kith, kin and brethren etc., but here too, they do not fail to put up a show as if they actually are sincere and helpful. They do not mind encroaching upon or usurping the due share of brothers, sisters, and cousins, but in doing so they often put up a show of disinterest in the shares of others.  

However, they are always very serviceful to their spouse, their own children, their own employees (at home and at work), and pretty often even to friends. They are not so much serviceful to mother and females equivalent to mother, though they never fail to pronounce from housetops that they are very serviceful to mother.  

On the other hand, these individuals often have an eye on getting monetary and other undeserved benefits from the mother or females equivalent to mother.  

Though these individuals are not sheer cowards, at the same time they are not very brave and courageous. Rahu in 3rd gives the quality of bragging and boasting, and these individuals make best use of this quality.  

These individuals are fond of owning one or more vehicles, keeping them in working condition always and replacing them by new and modern models as and when they can afford to do so.  

One good quality is that either these individuals do not borrow money on personal level, leave aside institutional loans etc., and if they have to borrow on personal level, they are careful to repay the loan on the promised date or as soon as possible. Loans given to these individuals do not generally sink as ‘bad debt’.  

Whether an injury is caused to them on a battlefield, in a duel, or by a fall or accident, immediate anti-septic treatment should be given, besides proper dressing etc. These individuals are apt to suffer from septicaemia or in worst cases from gangrene or allied trouble, all the more so if Moon or Venus is in conjunction with Rahu within 12 degree-distance.
