MARS IN THE 3RD HOUSE

The 3rd House mainly relates to brothers and sisters of self, spouses of brothers, and sisters of the spouse, effort, capacity for effort, strength, power, vigour, vitality, muscle power, and determination to put these qualities and talents to profitable use.

In this context, Moon plays a very important role, because Moon rules the MIND in every human being, and MIND generates determination. In spite of Mars being on a strong wicket in the 3rd House, Moon has the capacity and competence to make or mar the DETERMINATION.

Moon’s position in the 8th house is worst on this behalf, firstly, because Moon in 8th gives a timid and withdrawn mentality to the individual. Then Moon’s 8th position amounts to a 6:8 relationship between Moon and Mars. This element positively diminishes the determination of the individual in use of vigour, vitality, strength and capacity. Similarly, when Moon is in the 12th house, brothers and sisters, real and distant ones make demands on the individual for monetary and other kinds of material help. If Moon is in the 6th house, though it has a kendra relationship with Mars, the enemies, opponents, competitors manage to hurt the determination of the individual. But there is an exception too involved in this context. It is in the sense that when Moon is in the 10th House, in spite of it being a 6:8 relationship between Moon and Mars, Moon helps the aims and ambitions generated by Mars in the 3rd house.

Otherwise in the normal course, Mars generates courage and bravery in any individual. It is also interesting to note that excepting Moon, all other planets if conjunct with Mars in the 3rd House, enhance the capacity and capability of Mars and help in giving still better results,not with standing the friendly or enmity relations between the planets. No doubt it is a fact that a person having Mars in the 3rd house gets moral and physical support from brothers and sisters, but at the same time, they expect financial and material help from the individual in return as mentioned in the preceding paragraph.
