MARS IN GENERAL
Share
Mars is lord of human skin, blood flowing through veins, and the menstrual system in females (humans & animals). Astrologically, semen is considered as the most valuable substance of blood, its protein condensate. Thus, though Venus is associated commonly (and correctly too) to be the lord of semen, it is also recognised that (ejaculation or propulsion of semen will not take place unless the male reproductive organ is engorged with blood): semen is the outcome from the blood system. By implication, the entire system of procreation depends first on Mars, and then on Venus. We know that a woman is considered capable of conceiving only so long as her menstrual cycle is actively functioning in her body. This is normally from the age of 12 years to about 45 to 60 years. No doubt there are exceptions where a woman went into menopause much before the age of 45, or just after the birth of her first child. Mars is the lord of the uterus, and allied limbs in the physical structure of women. Then Mars also rules the warmth in the human body (physically – body temperature; mentally – irritation, and anger; emotionally – courage and bravery, feelings of brotherhood and fellowship, strength (vigour, power) in the human body (that of both males and females). It is this strength (vigour and power) which leads to accomplishment of hard tasks including that pertaining to defence and protection of self, family, society and the country. However problems related to neurological ailments or diseases concern both Mars and Moon, but more specifically to Mars.
Then comes another important domain of Mars, the functioning of the heart. In a sense it can be said so because the heart is the prime organ in the body related to blood. If the heart stops, the body stops. The individual is dead for all practical purposes. Mars and Venus are collectively responsible for organs of procreation in males, as also orgasm in females. Thus it is the primary influence of Mars and subsidiary influence of Venus that human beings (also animals) become capable of creating by their body, another life similar to that of self. Whether we go by the procreation theory or not, it has to be admitted that for physical and of mutual physical relationship between man and woman, it is firstly Mars (and then Venus) that play the most important role.
It is in this context that Mars has been given the most important consideration in the matter of matching horoscopes of a man and a woman for successful matrimony. This, then, leads us to the theory of defective position of Mars in a Birth-chart from the angle of married life, details of which can be consulted in *'Star Guide To Love and Marriage'* from pages 75 to 201 (published by Parsai Publishers (pparsai@gmail.com) and also available with Rupa Publications India Pvt. Ltd).
Thus though each and every planet has its importance through the Birth-chart and allied calculations, Mars has special importance on basic human life.
It should be kept in mind that normally Mars, Saturn, Jupiter (and sometimes Moon) are apt to cause fatal illness, accidents, or death too. It is the speciality of Mars that it causes death by fire, electricity, acids, inflammables (fire include gun-fire or big fire like the one caused in September 2001 by the crash of aircraft into the World Trade Centre, New York and in Washington). Moon causes death by poisoning, serious illness, or drowning in water or meeting with an accident in water. Saturn would cause death by non-bleeding illness or injury (routine minor bleeding included). Given below are examples of all three kinds of deaths:
(a) Pandit Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India met with his death in the last week of May 1964, due to illness because of the conflict of Mars+Jupiter with Moon.
(b) Death of Indira Gandhi, also the Prime Minister of India, was caused by gun-fire on the last day of October 1984, because Rahu had a 6:8 conflict with Mars on the one hand, and Saturn on the other. Saturn rules employees on hand, and she is shot dead by her own security-personnel.
(c) Anwar Sadat, President of Egypt was also killed by gun-fire when Mars was involved in a conflict with Saturn and Rahu.
However, extreme caution is required when making predictions of such nature about political leaders, because fanatics, misguided elements, and/or state investigating agencies may hold the astrologer guilty of complicity or encouraging, or instigating any attempt caused towards a popular personality. On the flip side, if an astrologer refrains from predicting such events, questions are raised as to why not!
