KETU IN THE 5TH HOUSE

The individual is good at studies, particularly in grasp of the subject taught or read by self, but evasive in homework more or less throughout the schooling. These individuals have very good and impressive handwriting, and are very much interested in general reading for the sake of developing a vast treasure of general knowledge (if Mercury too is in the 5th house with Ketu, the individual develops knowledge sometimes like a mobile Encyclopaedia). They have got rich vocabulary, and are good at writing essays and compositions, which sometimes develops as a writing talent in later life.

Ketu in the 5th house gives loss of at least one conception, be it naturally or through medical termination. And in the same breath, Ketu gives a full term (healthy child, if the stars of the other partner are not obstructive) as a compensation to that loss of one or two conceptions caused by Ketu in the 5th house.
