JUPITER IN THE 8TH HOUSE

This is also an important placement for Jupiter, because it determines loss of money, losses in share and stock speculation, diseases like asthma, diabetes and kidney trouble.

Jupiter in the 8th house also determines whether the individual would have an easy and peaceful death with contentment or past life. Otherwise he or she would have death after prolonged illness or severe sufferings even for a short period or death in mental worries and dissatisfied aims and ambitions and incomplete tasks left behind. Another worry would be whether the death would cause any financial problem/ struggle/ dispute to the spouse or mistress or paramour or friend of the opposite sex in love who is left behind.

The ancient acharyas have laid considerable importance in this regard on the Dreshkana-chart (one-third divisional part of the Ascendant/ Lagna) in the 8th house, as the 8th house is connected with death.

The question can arise as to why this point relating to Dreshkana is being discussed with reference to Jupiter’s position in the 8th house and not earlier. The ancient acharyas have attached importance to both Jupiter and Dreshkana in the 8th house for determining whether the death of the individual would be a contented person’s death with a peaceful mind or it would be a death of an uncontented person in a disturbed and worried state of mind.

Each Rasi has three Dreshkanas. The Dreshkana effect is discussed below Rasi-wise for easy and clear understanding:

(1) If it is the 1st Dreshkana of (Mesh) Aries in the 8th house, the death would be caused by liver or kidney trouble. Death would come after quite a long struggle with illness and medical treatment.

(2) If it is the 2nd Dreshkana of Aries, the death would be by drowning, by water, by any disease caused by water, on a sailing ship or sinking of the ship, by floods, by landslide or by snowfall, or storm, or cyclone etc.

(3) If the 3rd Dreshkana of Aries, the death might be by landslide, falling in a ditch, by falling down or by howling or dry river, or by falling from a high mountain.

(4) If it is the 1st Dreshkana of Taurus, the death would be caused by fall from a horse, or by being gored by an ox, by jackal bite or by an attack by a wild animal like tiger, panther, wolf.

(5) If it is the 2nd Dreshkana of Taurus, the death would be caused by fire, electrical shock, acid, poison, by the bronchitis, or congestion of the chest.

(6) If it is the 3rd Dreshkana of Taurus, the death would be caused by debris of a house, volcano, the death by or by jumping off or by being thrown from the earth-quake, or multi-storied building, or by an attack by a mob or by riots.

(7) If it is the 1st Dreshkana of Gemini, the death would be caused by suffocation caused by smoke, death by asthma trouble or obstruction in respiratory ducts, death by body being overburdened by so much fitness that body becomes difficult.

(8) If it is the 2nd Dreshkana of Gemini, the death would be caused by high fever, malaria, cholera, tuberculosis, or similar allied illness.

(9) If it is the 3rd Dreshkana of Gemini, the death is likely to be accident by vehicle, train, aeroplane, or by being knocked down to a high level by someone, intentionally, or by being pushed by a falling into a ditch, stream, brook, valley from the roof of a vehicle.

(10) If it is the 1st Dreshkana of Cancer in the 8th house, the death is caused by food poisoning, poisoning by someone intentionally, injury by arrows, gun, fire, knife, or by sharp-weapon and bleeding caused thereby.

(11) If it is the 2nd Dreshkana of Cancer, the death is caused by piles, inflammation in intestines, serious kinds of gynecological trouble, diarrhea, or dysentery.

(12) If it is the 3rd Dreshkana of Cancer, the cause of death is likely to be failure of speech, kidney or intestines, cholera or plague.

(13) If it is Dreshkana of Leo in the 8th house, the cause of death may be bulge, or dyspepsia, or serious kind.

(14) If it is the 2nd Dreshkana of Leo, serious disease or AIDS may be contracted.

If the 8th house has in it stem and mainly but sometimes liked by respiratory system, asthma bronchitis, acute problem by drowning, liquor, wine or any drinkable item, poison or by poisonous liquor, being pushed in water, river, or sea or by personable, wine or any drinkable item.

(15) If it is the 3rd Dreshkana of Leo in the 8th house, the cause of death can be an injury by firearm, arrow, knife, or by a gunshot on a battlefield or in a vehicular accident, or by poison in the blood system or by injection or infection.

(16) If it is the 1st Dreshkana of Virgo in the 8th house, the death is likely by insanity, neurological trouble, brain hemorrhage, epilepsy, or some allied ailment.

(17) If it is the 2nd Dreshkana of Virgo in the 8th house, the cause of death is likely to be a fall from a height, being killed on the ramparts of a fort or high-rise building, or a fall from a tree, hill, or mountain.

(18) If the 3rd Dreshkana of Virgo is in the 8th house, the cause of death could be by an order of a king, ruler, chief, head of a tribe or criminal group or death sentence by a court of law.

(19) If the 1st Dreshkana of Libra is in the 8th house, the death is likely by a woman or connivance of a woman, by mistress, paramour, or by spouse (wife, husband), by being thrown down from any case it is a death planned by a human being(s).

(20) If the 2nd Dreshkana of Libra is in the 8th house, the death is likely to be caused by attack by a domestic or wild animal, by indigestion, by dyspepsia, dysentery, diarrhoea, i.e. any...

(21) If it is the 3rd Dreshkana of Libra in the 8th house, the cause of death would likely be snake-bite, an attack by four-legged animal, pit-viper, python, biting by bees or any other insects near the water.

(22) If the 1st Dreshkana of Scorpio is in the 8th house, the cause of death could be poison or injury by a weapon, or by being used on battlefield or otherwise, or by poison gas, or by gas-bomb (being used these days in modern warfare).

(23) If the 2nd Dreshkana of Scorpio is in the 8th house, the death will be caused by lifting any heavy weight or lifting heavy luggage, abortion caused by lifting any burden or abortion after forced or consented sex or by rape during pregnancy, or major fracture of waist-line or spine bone or fracture of the portion of the ribs.

(24) If the 3rd Dreshkana of Scorpio is in the 8th house, the cause of death could be attributed to serious injury by a stone, rock falling on head or body, by landslide, by falling of a building or fall of a big machine or a railing, staircase or big rod etc. on the head.

(25) If the 1st Dreshkana of Sagittarius is in the 8th house, death is likely by piles, after the effect of a surgical operation or infection caused by a syringe. Death can even occur under general anaesthesia or on a surgical operation table.

(26) If the 2nd Dreshkana of Sagittarius is in the 8th house, death is likely on a battlefield, by explosion of any bomb or shell, by enemy action, by attack by dacoits, robbers, thieves, opponents, adversaries, terrorists.

(21) If it is the 3rd Dreshkana of Libra in the 8th house, the cause of death would likely be snake-bite, an attack by four-legged animal, pit-viper, python, biting by bees or any other insects near the water.

(22) If the 1st Dreshkana of Scorpio is in the 8th house, the cause of death could be poison or injury by a weapon, or by being used on battlefield or otherwise, or by poison gas, or by gas-bomb (being used these days in modern warfare).

(27) If the 3rd Dreshkana of Sagittarius is in the 8th House, the cause of death may be by crocodile, by eating poisonous fish, by attack from a group of tortoise, by drowning, by being pushed into water or river or sea etc, or by any poisonous watery substance entering into the stomach system.

(28) If it is the 1st Dreshkana of Capricorn in the 8th house, death may be predicted by an attack by lion, tiger, wild boar, monkeys, panther, wolf, wild buffalo or any four - legged animal in anger, or even by scorpion bite or drinking a substance containing a dead poisonous creature.

(29) If the 2nd Dreshkana of Capricorn is in the 8th house, death may be predicted by snake-bite, python attack, on account of bee, scorpion, or any such poisonous creature/insect.

(30) If the 3rd Dreshkana of Capricorn is in the 8th house, the cause of death may be theft, robber, dacoit, fire, firearm, electric-shock, electric short-circuit, any kind of fatal fever, malaria, tuberculosis or diphtheria specially in childhood.

(31) If the 1st Dreshkana of Aquarius is in the 8th house, death can be caused by wife, mistress, prostitute, concubine, paramour, husband, natural or adopted son or daughter, or by a sharp weapon or firearm injury on the abdomen or by a kick on abdomen/womb/stomach or on the testicles (even for man). (for man).

(32) If the 2nd Dreshkana of Aquarius is in the 8th house; death can be caused by venereal diseases, AIDS and allied ailment, infection of any kind, septic wound, or poison consumed or injected into the blood system.

(33) If the 3rd Dreshkana of Aquarius is in the 8th house, the cause of death will be biting by any poisonous insect including snake, lizard, scorpion, python, or by any wound or injury going septic.

(34) If the 1st Dreshkana of Pisces is in the 8th house, the cause of death is likely to be diabetes, urinary disease, tuberculosis, pyrolesis, paralysis, dengue fever, or typhoid.

(35) If the 2nd Dreshkana of Pisces is in the 8th house, the death is likely by attack by an elephant, camel, horse, donkey, zebra, wolf, fox, cow, rabbits, buffalo, or falling into water from a boat, steamer, sailing ship or by being pushed into water, river, canal or, by floods.

(36) If the 3rd Dreshkana of Pisces is in the 8th house, death may be predicted to occur by long-term disease, cholera, asthma, diabetes, kidney trouble, plague, any epidemic, any fatal fever or by food poisoning.

These are just astrological indications, and should not be taken as absolutely binding, hard-and-fast rules. Many more other factors would need to be checked before venturing any prediction.

Planets of husband and wife affect each other directly and closely. Therefore any indication of death to be predicted on the basis of the horoscope of either husband or wife should not be given.
