Astrology as a Science

Astrology as a Science

Astrology - a very ancient science preached and practiced by our saints, sages and nobles of the unworthy and incompetents, it lost its glory. Even truths were eclipsed and clouds of doubts spread in the wilderness.

In India, when Astrology was fast losing its glory, at that time a silent and salient scholar born on the banks of the river Kaveri in Thiruvaiyaru (Lat/Long: 10°N53’, 79° E6’), on 1st November 1908 (Sunday) at 12:11 P.M. in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu, India. Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti (KSK) whose full name is “ KUTHUR SUBBARAYAIYER KRISHNAMURTI”, the inventor/discoverer of a unique and scientific stellar astrological method popularly known as Krishnamurti Padhdhati.

After education from St. Joseph College, Tiruchirappalli he entered into service at the King Institute, Guindy, Chennai in the public Health Department on 17-7-1927. He had fascination, dedication, eagerness and sincerity for the study of Astrology and studied both Parasara and Western systems till 1934. He critically analysed the failure of predictions as well as timing of events and caused dissatisfaction on the results of Astrology, during the period of 1934 to 1946. From 1939 two assistants carried out research and Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti preachings and practices were enhanced with more vigour. On receipt of Lord Uchista Maha Ganapati from Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Kamakoti in 1951  and consequently KSK attained his goal. However, finally in 1951 after a great and considerable period of struggle in modern era and he is known as “Aadhunik Varamihira” developed the concept of Sub-lord theory based on “Dhruva Nadi” of Satyacharaya.

From this time, he started the transmission of the fruits of his research and knowledge to the students of astrology, who met him daily in the evenings till 1961. He retired from service voluntarily on 19.09.1961. Since 30-03-1963 Astrology & Athrishta, KP Ephemeris for the years 1911-1970 and 6 KP Readers were published and Prof. KSK was awarded 2 titles a JYOTHISH MARTHAND along with Gold medal for his excellency, conferred by the then governor of Bombay Shri P.V. Cherian in 1964 and b SOTHIDA MANNAN by Mr. T. Sivaprasagam on behalf of the Malaysian Astrological Society (MAS) on 29th June 1970 for his astrological yeoman services. Guruji left his inanimate body and worldly affairs in 30.02.1972 at 2 A.M. in Madras (now Chennai) and may attained Moksha in Heavenly abode.

When astrology lost its rapid hold in India, our revered Guruji Late Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti worked hard to establish Astrology as perfect as any other science. He codified the principles enunciated in old texts and added much more material and method. He was the first to dwell elaborately on the efficacy of the nakshatras and their sub division. This has brought a revolution in predictive astrology. After years of deep research, he discovered the influence of the “star and sub”.

Late Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti wanted to invent a method in the field of astrology, which is without complications, persuasive and able to make 100 percent accurate predictions. This research was not easy for Professor Krishnamurti either. In the beginning, his prophecy was not correct in some cases, but for the sake of failure as a result of possessing an inquisitive mindset undeterred, he continued his research with enthusiasm and in the end his relentless efforts gained success by the grace of Lord Maha Ganapati.

During his research, he first noticed that a planet owned or occupied in a house cusp is not the strongest result giving planet of that house cusp. Whenever there are planets in the constellation of occupant or the owner, such planets deposited in the constellation offers the result Occupants or owners do not offer the results of the house but they offer the results of owners do not offer the results of the houses but they offer the results of the lord of the constellation is which they are deposited. The planet or planets in the constellation of that planet are the strongest significator of that particular cusp.

He also noticed that more than more than one planet in the same house cusp is in their Dasa periods provides complete  contrary results. Even different planets in the same constellation produce different results. After this realization, a star is divided into nine sections in proportion to the Vimshottari Dasa system. The thought of doing comes to his mind the first part of which is the star of that planet and the rest divisions are in the same order as the Vimshottari Dasa sequence, i.e. Venus after Ketu, Sun after Venus, and moon after sun etc. Since there are 27 stars in the zodiac, each star (360°÷27) = 13°20’ or 800’ Since the total Vimshottari Dasa period is 120 years, it is in proportion to the planetary dasa period of the planets. The division of the Sun is 800×6/120=0°40”, Similarly, the division or sub of the moon is 1° 6 40” Mars and Ketu 0° 46’ 40”, Rahu is 2° 0’ 0” Jupiter is 1° 46’ 40”, Saturn is 2° 6’ 40” and Mercury’s sub is 1° 53’ 20”.

The discovery of this section or sub is after 11 years of rigorous research by Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti brings him the glory of success. The sub is the deciding factor of a planet or a house cusp that has been proved beyond doubt.

However, he put special emphasis on twins as the subject of his research. He researched the life events of the preceding period and the time of the event of many twins. With the blessing of Lord Maha Ganapati, his research was successful, and some truths were revealed. Later he himself was satisfied with the results of his discovery and then his method form 1951 AD began to teach his students.
